The automation maturity index
What does maturity mean?
If we apply the technology adoption lifecycle framework to the digital maturity data, we get the following categories:
1. Innovators
Implemented hyperautomation? You’re at the forefront of innovation already.
2. Early Adopters
When a technology is still relatively uncommon, it’s the preserve of early adopters.
3. Early Majority
This is when a technology starts to gain traction. We might expect to see a third of respondents at this level.
4. Late Majority
In this category, we find the most commonly adopted basic capabilities, such as automatic access rights and storage timeframes.
5. Laggards
Not started yet? Your organisation could opt for low-hanging fruit that’s already commonly in use, such as the automatic access rights mentioned above.
