There is no difference in function between the mobile app and the browser version of image.canon.

Go here to create a CanonID account and input your camera's serial number. You can use image.canon from your browser or mobile app.

The process of sending images varies by camera model. Please visit the ‘How to use’ section at image.canon and select your product to learn how to upload images.

After setting up the linkage with the Canon Camera Connect app in the image.canon app, images imported via Canon Camera Connect can be uploaded.

Original images are stored for 30 days. There are no restrictions on the quantity or size of the uploads, although there may occasionally be cases to restrict uploads for operational reasons required to provide the service.

No, they are simple stored separately from the images that match the sorting rules. Once the 30-day expiration has passed, the original images will be automatically deleted from the image.canon cloud server.

You can create up to two rules for each account. Each rule can include a combination of multiple filters.

Images of up to 20 registered people can be sorted automatically. Additionally, you can filter by registered individuals and perform facial focus, eye closure and smile detection. After changing the sorting rules, the new sorting rules will be applied to images uploaded from the camera.

Compatible cameras must be connected to the internet via Wi-Fi.
- After 30 days, sorted and unsorted original files are deleted from image.canon, however the thumbnails of your original still images (JPEG/HEIF/RAW) will remain. If this service is not used for 1 year, though, all of your images, including thumbnails, will be deleted.
